Total weight: 2,9 t The Peugeot D3 (later D4 ) is a Peugeot van and was manufactured from 1946 to 1965. The Peugeot 202 and 203 was used as the engine. The roots of the Peugeot D3 are in the delivery desk type T60, which was developed by Chenard & Walcker in the late 1930s, and its differently motorized successors Che, CH65 and 66B. The company CHAUSSON, partner of Chenard & Walker since 1936, designed a modernized body. The original version had a water -cooled engine with 1021 cm³ displacement and 19 kW (26 hp) power as well as a maximum payload of 1500 kg. The empty weight is given as 1400 kg. In 1947, a stronger engine was added from the Peugeot 202 with 1133 cm³ displacement and 22 kW (30 hp) power, which required a front with an adjusted radiator mask. A year later, the 1290 cm³ engine was built in from the Peugeot 203, which made two horsepower more than that from the 202. In 1950 Peugeot Chenard & Walker took over and replaced the previously produced Peugeot Q3A with the delivery van, which was now renamed as a Peugeot D3A. It was not until 1952 that an engine with 29 kW (40 hp) was powered. In this step the model name was on Peugeot D3B changed. In 1955 the D3B was then by the second generation of the model, the Peugeot D4 , replaced, which was manufactured until 1965 and offered with engines of 45 and 50 hp. From 1959 the D4 also existed with a diesel engine. Patrick Negro: “Pig nose” vans CPV, D3A, D4A and D4B of my father . ETAI, 2011, ISBN 2-84078-041-0, S. 120 (French, stories and pictures).
