The Bremerhaven Clinic , Proper name Bremerhaven-Reinenheide GGmbH (KBR) Clinic (KBR) , known until 2005 as Central Hospital Reinkenheide , is a hospital in Bremerhaven shipping dorferdamm. With around 2,000 employees and over 800 beds, it is the largest clinic in the region. It is an academic teaching hospital at the University of Göttingen. The Bremerhaven-Reinenheide Clinic is one of the largest training companies in Bremerhaven. The Nursing Academy Seestadt Bremerhaven at the Bremerhaven-Reinenheide Clinic is the oldest nursing school in Bremerhaven. It was founded in 1952 as a nursing school in Seestadt Bremerhaven and is housed in its own building directly on KBR in Postbrookstraße 91a.

Since 1952, a total of 2,047 nurses have successfully passed their exams at the Nursing Academy of Seestadt Bremerhaven. [4]

In July 2022, the last course “Training as a midwife or childbearing nurse” took its final exam at the midwifery school. Because following a decision by the ECJ, midwife training 2020 was academized. [5] The Bremerhaven Clinic coordinates the practical operations of the practice modules for the obstetric clinics in the state of Bremen, which must be completed as part of the midwife bachelor’s degree at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences.
