The province of Khon Kaen is located in the north -east region of Thailand, the so -called Isan. Neighboring counties (clockwise from the south): the Ampho Pueai Noi, Nong Song Hong, Non Sila, Chonnabot, Mancha Khiri and Ban Haet in the province of Khon Kaen, as well as the Ampho Kosum Phisai and Kut rank of the province of Maha Sarakham. The area of \u200b\u200btoday’s district of Ban Phai originally called Ban Keng ( Ban Keng ) and was a Tambon of the amphoen chonnabot. Ban Phai was initially a “branch circle” in 1928 (King Amphoe) furnished, consisting of three Tambon that were separated from the amphoen chonnabot. [first] On February 1, 1940, Ban Phai got full amphoe status.
