UCI Paracycling World Championships 2016-Wikipedia
The UCI Paracycling World Championships 2016 from March 17th to 20th in Montichiari, Italy, took place in Velodromo Fassa Bortolo. The Paracycling World Championships were thus held for the second time after 2011 in this cycling railway.
The World Championships were originally awarded by the Union Cyclist Internationale (UCI) to the South African Pieteraritzburg. On the part of the athletes, however, there was sharp criticism: the bike racing track Sax Young Cycling Track is open in Pietermaritzburg and 463 meters long (standard are 250 meters in length), this is “sub-standard”. These are bad prerequisites for world championships that served as a qualification for the Summer Paralympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. [first] [2]
