Jung played for several clubs in Wiesbaden in youth. In 2005 he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he went through all other youth departments. From 2010 he stood in the Eintracht team’s second team, where he was a regular in the regional league. In January 2012, he was taken to Katar by Eintracht coach Armin Veh to the professional training camp. [first] After the 2011/12 season, he switched to FSV Frankfurt free of charge, where he received a one -year contract with an option for another year. [2] On the first matchday of the 2012/13 season, he played his first professional game in 1-1 draw against SV Sandhausen.
For the 2013/14 season, Jung switched to third division promoted RB Leipzig free of charge and received a three-year contract there until June 30, 2016. [3] Previously, his new contract at MSV Duisburg had become invalid after a forced relegation. In 2015, Jung extended his contract with RB Leipzig until 2019. [4]
Jung was loaned to FC Ingolstadt 04 for the 2016/17 season. [5] There he made his debut in the first Bundesliga in the 1-2 home defeat against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on match day 6. [6] Jung scored his first goal in the first Bundesliga on match day 12 at 1-1 draw against VfL Wolfsburg. [7]
After the relegation of the Ingolstadt residents, the planned fixed transfer did not come about, which is why Jung returned to the Leipzigers at the start of training for the 2017/18 season. [8] In mid -July, he finally moved to the Danish first division club Brøndby IF on a loan base. [9] He made his debut for the Danes on match day 2 in the 3-2 defeat against FC Nordsjælland. Overall, Jung came under the German coach Alexander Zorniger, under whom he had already played in Leipzig, in the 2017/18 season on 29 league missions in which he scored a goal. For the 2018/19 season, Brøndby IF acquired the transfer rights to young and equipped him with a contract with a term until June 30, 2021. [ten] In 2020/2021 Jung became Brøndby IF Danish champion.
For the 2021/22 season, Jung moved to the 2nd Bundesliga to the relegated Werder Bremen. [11]
