The company was founded in January 2005 and was already active in the founding year at the markets in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. On November 28, 2005, the IPO under the company name followed Bob Mobile AG .

The company got into the headlines when it published a ringtone in 2006, which alluded to the kidnapping of Natascha Kampusch. [2]

On July 1, 2009, Jarimovas GmbH, on the board of directors Remco Westermann, announced that he had acquired a share of over 50% of Bob Mobile’s shares. [3]

At the ordinary general meeting on August 24, 2012, the name change of BOB Mobile AG in Cliq Digital AG was decided, which was effective in early September 2012.

Cliq Digital sells licensed digital products in the areas of music, audio books, games, sports and film.

The “Mobile Spy” product was viewed critically, which should enable a location of a mobile phone by specifying the numbered number. By advertising on television and websites, suggests that the user is able to locate: “Every when and where he wants to locate”. It is not mentioned that according to the telecommunications law, the consent of the granted is required. [4] The mobile spy was also marketed as a Spymigo or Mobile Spy 2.0.

There were also reports on the Internet that BOB Mobile consumers lowered subscription contracts from unfair funds. For example, online contracts were not always apparent when it was a subscription, many users also complained of costs collected by telephone bills for which no contract had been concluded. [5] A campaign on Facebook found particularly large echo, about which the Spiegel also reported. [6] In March 2010, the Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Ilse Aigner also critically critically commented on these sometimes illegally concluded subscriptions. [7]
