I Am … Sasha Fierce is the third studio album of the American R&B singer Beyoncé. The release date in Germany was November 14, 2008. By the end of 2009, the album was sold over 2.5 million times in the United States alone. [first] At the same time, a deluxe edition of the album appeared, on which five more pieces can be heard. The album brought Beyoncé five Grammys at the Grammy Awards 2010.

Between 2007 and 2008, Beyoncé recorded a total of 70 songs for this album, which is supposed to show two sides of it. The plate is therefore a double CD, CD number one is I Am …, contains the calm and very emotional songs. The plate is supposed to represent the quiet side of the singer. Sasha Fierce shows the rocky side of the singer, Sasha Fierce is the alter ego of Beyoncé Knowles. Only Beyoncé can be heard on both plates. According to the singer, one CD songs contains main stream music, but the other represents traditional R&B. The album sold 495,000 times in the USA in the first week. It rose from zero to first place on the American Billboard Charts, so it is I Am … Sasha Fierce The singer’s third album, which made it directly first. Success was limited in Europe. In Germany the album made it into the Top 20 . Already in the second week the record fell to 27th place in the German hit parades. This is the singer’s first album, which could not be placed in the top ten of the German album charts.

The two outlets If I Were a Boy and Single Ladies were internationally successful. With If I Were a Boy Beyoncé placed so high with third place that only Beautiful Liar Greater in Germany. Single Ladies is the fifth number one hit by the singer in the United States. Already after the first week, the album in the USA fell to fourth place with 277,000 units sold. Diva was only published in the USA as the third single, the song made up for 96th place in the US charts and later reached 198th place, so the song Beyoncés became twelfth top 20 single in the USA. It was awarded gold for 1,000,000 digitally sold units.

Halo was published as the fourth single in the USA and the third worldwide, the song reached fifth place in the USA and was awarded twice with platinum for over 2,000,000 digital units. Internationally, the song reached the top ten in twenty states. The success was as large as with Single Ladies .

Knowles’ I Am … Tour started on March 26, 2009 in Edmonton, Canada to promote the album. The European part of the worldwide I Am … Tour started on April 26, 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia and ended on June 9, 2009 in London, Great Britain. On June 21, Beyoncé began the third part of her tour in the USA and ended this with four appearances in a row in the Encore Las Vegas, Las Vegas Strip. The fourth part of the tour started on September 15, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia and ended on September 24th in Perth, Australia. Knowles then traveled to Asia, to the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Great Britain, before ending the tour in Belfast, Ireland on November 24, 2009. The last part of the tour led Beyoncé to Central America in spring 2010, where the tour finally ended in Trinidad on February 18, 2010.
