He became an assistant to the Architecture of the TU Dresden in 1975 and in 1993 took over the unscheduled professorship for visual teaching at the Institute for Fundamentals of the Design and presentation at the Faculty of the TU Dresden. He stood up to the artistic advisory board of the university and became chairman of the Dresden artist association in 1994 and 2001 cultural senator of the Free State of Saxony. The TU Dresden was also artistically connected. He designed the Logo of the TU Dresden, [3] The Ulbrichtsche ball on the university campus and a memorial stele from the university. The design of the TU memorial in the old Annen cemetery also goes back to him.
