Designed by him: Memorial for professors of the TU Dresden in the old Annenfriedhof (1983)  The Ulbrichtsche Kugel (1984)        (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4From 1955 to 1962, Schieferdecker studied architecture at the Technical University of Dresden with Karl-Heinz Adler and Georg Nerlich, among others, and then worked there as a research assistant with architect Bernhard Klemm. He became an assistant to the Architecture of the TU Dresden in 1975 and in 1993 took over the unscheduled professorship for visual teaching at the Institute for Fundamentals of the Design and presentation at the Faculty of the TU Dresden. He stood up to the artistic advisory board of the university and became chairman of the Dresden artist association in 1994 and 2001 cultural senator of the Free State of Saxony. The TU Dresden was also artistically connected. He designed the Logo of the TU Dresden, [3] The Ulbrichtsche ball on the university campus and a memorial stele from the university. The design of the TU memorial in the old Annen cemetery also goes back to him. His work showed &#8220;the deformation of Marxist thinking and the simultaneous disparage of alternative approaches&#8221; and devoted themselves to the surveillance state of GDR, whereby his works &#8220;left nothing to be desired in terms of clarity.&#8221; [4] In addition to politically critical works, he also dealt with the artistic modernity of the 20th century. In many cases, he was awarded internationally, which also granted him protection against the party and cultural officials in the GDR. Slate deck had a significant number of personnel exhibitions and exhibition participations in the GDR, including 19777\/1978, 1982\/1983 and 1987\/1988 at the art exhibitions of the GDR in Dresden. In 1983, the Kupferstichkabinett Dresden bought its previously created print -graphic overall work. [5] Extensive collections of works of Schieferders are owned by the State Art Collections in Dresden, the municipal gallery of Dresden, the Museum Meerane, the new Saxon Galerie Chemnitz and the Brandenburg art collections in Cottbus. J\u00fcrgen Schieferdecker has lived in Dresden since 1955 [6] And was married to Marita Schieferdecker-Adolph, the former foreigner of the city of Dresden. His nephew was Uwe Schieferdecker, who acts as an author and urban planner in Dresden and Berlin. He died in December 2018 and was buried in the Johannisfriedhof.
