Laportea – Wikipedia

before-content-x4

Laportea is a plant genre within the family of nettle plants (Urticaceae). [first] [2] The 22 [first] [2] Up to 36 [3] Laportea -Tarten are gantropic. Laportea -Tarts, like the nettles, have burner hair.

Vegetative characteristics [ Edit | Edit the source text ]

Laportea -Tarts are one -year to persistent herbaceous plants or half -shrubs. Most species achieve growth heights of 1 to 1.5 meters. The above -ground plant parts are covered with burner hair that are shorter than 5 millimeters.

The alternately arranged leaves are divided into petiels and leaf blades. Their parchment-like, simple leaf blades are narrow-oval to rounded and mostly rough, serrated or sawn. The intrapetia -like side sheets are overgrown, except for the top, and stand between the leaf sticks and stems; However, they usually drop early.

Generative features [ Edit | Edit the source text ]

The Laportea -Tarten are one (monoczish) or two-house (diocese) separated. [first] The inflorescences stand on the side and end and consist of panicle-like, sometimes also grape-like or ear-like, loosely stubborn zymösen partial inflorescences. The flowers are always unilient, with all the flowers of a inflorescence have the same gender in most species. If there are bodies in the inflorescences, they are tiny.

The male flowers have four or five similar flower hull leaves and four or five stamens. [first] The female flowers have two or mostly four flower covers, with the outer ones much smaller than the two side. The extended or hook -shaped stylus stops until the fruit ripe.

The ohines are flattened and egg -shaped to half -balled. [first]

The 22 [first] [2] Up to 36 [3] Laportea -Tarten are gantropic. Only a few species also occur in areas with moderate climate in North America and Asia ( Laportea canadensis or Laporta Cuspidata ).

Most species grow at damp locations in forests, thickets or bushes, like to grow in disturbed areas.

The genus Laportea was in 1826 by Charles Gaudichaud-Beaupré in Voyage around the world, undertaken by order of the king, … Executed on the corvets of S. M. The genus Laportea Previously further understood. You have many shrubs and tree-shaped species in the genus Dendrocnide spun off. However, the division of this kinship within the Urtencaceae family remains in the genres Laportea , Dendrocnide , Urera , Girardinia etc. continued unclear. The number of synonyms is considerable. Laportea is polyphyletic (Wu et al. 2013, Kim et al. 2015) and some species Laportea interrupted should be revised. [first]

The genus Laportea is divided into two sections: Laportea sect. Laportea and Laportea sect. Fleurya (Gaudich.) Chew . [first]
