(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4Leo Woerl was the son of the cartographer Joseph Edmund Woerl (1803\u20131865) and the Maria Herder (* 1805), a daughter of Bartholom\u00e4 Herder (1774\u20131839), and thus a nephew of the owner of Herder’s publisher in Freiburg, Benjamin Herder (1818-1888). He learned the bookstore in Freiburg near Herder from 1858 to 1862 and, after a few years of hiking as a bookseller in W\u00fcrzburg, founded his own publishing house in W\u00fcrzburg (“Leo Woerl’sche Buch- und Church-Kunstverlagshandlung”, also “Leo Woerl’sche Buch, Kunst- und Verlagshandlung “;” Publisher by Leo Woerl “), whose span ranged from theological to the fiction. From 1866 to 1869 he lived in Zurich; Since the 1870s he has also maintained an agency in Vienna (Spiegelgasse 12). The Catholic published in his W\u00fcrzburger Verlag from 1868 to 1870 Franconian Volksblatt .
