The Room e. V. (Spoken with open o: [ ˈRɔm ]; full name Non-profit association for the communication of Rome (Roma & Sinti) and non-Rom) With the headquarters in Cologne, an intercultural association with Germany is of importance.

The association was initially created in the winter of 1986/87 as a support initiative after larger groups of Yugoslav Roma refugees, almost 1,000 people, had come to Cologne.
