The vexillological declination of the weapons of the former county of Flanders sometimes constitutes the unofficial flag of the French region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Such a flag is well presented as that of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region by certain sources [ first ] , [ 2 ] . In 2010 France issued a series of pieces of 10 euros on the theme of the regions: that devoted to Nord-Pas-de-Calais included the flag in the lion [ 3 ] , [ 4 ] .
