The Roquefeuil family is a Provencal French family with ill -defined origins. It would take its name from a Roquefeuille fief located in Potri\u00e8res in the Var department. Saint-Allais goes in the same direction by making this burgondion of Trets a son of Geoffroy II Redrciat, himself the son of Raymond-Geoffroy II, Viscount of Marseille from 1184 to 1216-1217 [ 3 ] . Co-Lord of Trets, Olli\u00e8res and Peyrols, he was also a viscount of Marseille in 1213; He died around 1246 [ 4 ] . However, the Foundation for Medieval Genealogy (FMG), which is based on more recent research, writes that “the primary source which would confirm this kinship has not yet been identified [ 5 ] \u00bb. Papon who gives descendants of the name of Roquefeuil to this Burgondion, giving him from the first bed a son named Raymond de Roquefeuil, lord of Peyloubier (probably Puyloubier), and a brother named Burgondion (II), lord of Tretz and from Roquefeuil. Raymond is said to be the father of another burgundion (III), himself a father of a fourth burgondion (IV), hence Isnard de Roquefeuil, lord of Peyloubier [ 2 ] . However, he does not give these Roquefeuil of descendants bearing the name of Agoult.
