He evolves at the center post [ 2 ] . Club career [ modifier | Modifier and code ] After playing in junior at the HK MK Bled, he left for North America at the start of the 2007 season. He played thirteen games in the Eastern Junior Hockey League a Tier 3 Junior A League with the Apple Core in New York. He returned to Bled during the season and begins in senior in the Slovenia championship. During the 2009-2010 campaign, he finished fourth pointer in the regular season of the Slohokej Liga with thirty-eight points [ 3 ] . He is recruited by HK Maribor with three other players to participate in the playoffs. HK Maribor eliminates HK Bled then HK Slavija. During the final disputed in a round trip match, he won against HK Partizan Belgrade. Ankerst scored Maribor’s first goal in the return match in Croatia [ 4 ] . In the Slovenian championship, Ankerst served four assistance in the three games played for third place against HK Triglav. Maribor ranks behind Acroni Jesenice and Olimpija Ljubljana. Ljubljana continues by two consecutive successes and becomes national champion. During the 2009 world junior championship, Slovenes took fourth place behind Switzerland, Belarus and France [ 21 ] . Ankerst scored three goals and assistance in four games. He plays with Ane Ropret and Bo\u0161tjan Goli\u010di\u010d and did not play the last match against Poland. The April 8, 2011 , he honors his first senior selection in a friendly match against Hungary. The coach is then Matja\u017e Kopitar.
