For homonymous articles, see Cazenave. Anny Cazenave , née Boistay on 3 mars 1944 [ first ] , [ 2 ] Draveil [ 3 ] , is a French scientist, specialized in geodesy and spatial oceanography. His research themes relate to the use of space techniques in earth sciences. Researcher at the Laboratory of Studies in Spatial Geophysics and Oceanography in Toulouse, she was elected to the Academy of Sciences in 2004 Section Universe Sciences . It was one of the main authors of the chapter “Elevation of sea level” of the 5 It is Report of the Intergovernmental Experts Group on Climate Evolution (IPCC). She chaired the Météo-France scientific council and that of the Water Agency and the Adour-Garonne Basin Committee. She is currently a member of the scientific council of the World Climate Research Program. Born of trading parents, she is not intended for science but a professor of mathematics in terminal gives her revelation [ 4 ] . Holder of a third cycle doctorate in fundamental astronomy (Paris, 1969) [ 5 ] and a state doctorate in geophysics (Toulouse, 1975) [ 6 ] , Anny Cazenave is an emeritus engineer of the National Center for Spatial Studies (CNES). At the Midi-Pyrénées Observatory, she is a researcher at the Laboratory of Studies in Geophysics and Space Oceanography (LEGOS), research unit which is part of several organizations (CNES-CNRS-IRD University Paul Sabatier). Since 2013, she has been director for Earth Sciences at the International Space Sciences Institute (ISSI) in Bern in Switzerland. Anny Cazenave’s research belongs to the areas of geodesy, geophysics, oceanography and hydrology. Since the 1970s, the CNES and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) wanted to bring spatial research and non -spatial research closer to pool the contributions of one and the other. This is how Anny Cazenave’s work in planet’s sciences use spatial techniques: for example spatial altimetry intervenes in the study of climate change, thanks to the measurement of sea level; The overall change, the transfers of matter between oceans, between continents, also use spatial geodesy; Or, to study the water cycle and the hydrology of continents, several spatial techniques are precious, such as altimetry and gravimetry. Anny Cazenave has recently been part of several bodies, including: the CNRS board of directors, the Météo-France scientific council (which it chaired), that of the Water Agency and the Basin Committee Adour-Garonne (which she chairs), but also the scientific council of the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, and “Blaise Pascal” chairs of the Ile-de-France region. Major actress of reflection on climate change, she was, within the working group n O I, one of the main authors of the chapter “Elevation of sea level” [ 7 ] of 5 It is IPCC report [ 8 ] (2010-2013). She was a member of the NASA Earth Sciences Program Assessment, NRC (National Research Council, The National Academies) (2011-2012). Anny Cazenave is a member of the following institutions: It has more than 200 scientific articles published in international journals with a reading committee, as well as popularization articles and several works.
