Group composition Members Ls, this shogg Former members Sam Melse, Seb Swing modifier Aphrodisiac is a French group of R&B composed of LS and Shuga Shug. Afrodiziac was basically a quartet composed of LS (Smooth), Shuga Shug, Sam Melse and Seb Swing. He tightened around the duo of cousins Shuga and LS. The Afrodiziac adventure started unofficially in the early 1990s, to become official when Shuga Shug and LS, which became the final members of the group began to give concerts. In the mid -1990s, the two cousins generated a buzz in the underground world of Parisian R&B, thus arousing the interest of record companies which did not take long to make proposals. Having the desire to stay close to the underground, it is with the label La Sauce, founded by Alex (creator of the Homecore brand), Lone (former member of the AS group) and Faridj, that they decide to sign their first CONTRACT. They start to work with Lone with which they will produce “Find me a job” as well as other new songs. The proposals of labels and record companies continuing to flow, the group decides to join Delabel with whom they will release their first maximum “find me a job” in 1998. This title whose video clip is produced by Jonathan Mannion (who there is his director’s debut), will appear on many compilations; especially 24 carats and flow; It is a reference in French R&B. [Ref. necessary] While the group is preparing to enter the studio to record their album, Delabel suspends the preparation of the album This decision of the label decides the two cousins to leave the label. The group being signed in editions at Sony since the time of the sauce, they decided to join a label of the Sony Music group. They sign a new contract with Columbia. After many compromises to try to meet the requirements of their new LS and Shuga label produce an album that does not satisfy them. They end up convincing Columbia to leave them carte blanche to produce their album as they understand it.They return to the studio and record what will be their first official album: Ad Vitam æternam. The album To eternal life will be released in vinyl record at the end of 2001 and then in CD a few months later. The first single extracted from this album is “You + Me”, a title with UK Garage and 2-Step influences, a musical genre from London. The album will have a critical success as well as with R&B enthusiasts and is part of the heritage of French R&B. [Ref. necessary] 4 years after this album, LS, without leaving the group, and after having released a mixtape, released their first solo album: Different , an R&B album released in 2005. He will release his second solo album two years later: “Other I”, a more exotic album with Zouk sounds. He is currently preparing the release of his second Zouk album. In 2012, they came out / jealousy, an EP of 5 titles. Two video clips will be extracted from it: envy/jealousy (honor the discs of mythical albums of R&B, soul and hip-hop) and you are no longer there. Enjoy / jealousy is the last known collaboration between LS & Shuga Shug. 1998: “Find me a job” directed by Jonathan Mannion 2001 : “Toi + Moi” featuring Janahé & Manic B 2002: “You + me” (UK Garage Remix) 2002: “Stay the same” (Gang du Lyonnais remix) directed by J.G Biggs 2011: “envy & jealousy” 2012: “Tu N’es Plus is” Various sources mention two albums to their credit, but the group has only released one album to date.
