It was put into service in 1868 by the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer de Paris in Lyon and the Mediterranean (PLM). It is a station of the National Society of French Railways (SNCF), from the TER PACA network, served by regional trains. It is also a SNCF freight service station. Cavaillon station is located at the kilometric point (PK) 32.888 from the Avignon line to Miramas between the open stations of the Isle-Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and Orgon. Former bifurcation station, it was also the origin of the Cavaillon line in Saint -Maime – Dauphin (downgraded). His altitude is 75 m . Origin [ modifier | Modifier and code ] The “Cavaillon station” is put into service the December 29, 1868 by the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer de Paris in Lyon and the Mediterranean (PLM), when it opens up the exploitation “the branch of Avignon in Cavaillon”.
