Element Cecis — Wikipedia
A wikipedia article, free l’encyclopéi.
And Élément Secis , from English himself leno c ysteine i nsertion s Tructure , is a cis-regulator of Messenger RNA long long of nucleotides characterized by its hairpin shape, or “tod-orchel”. This particular three-dimensional structure leads ribosomes to translate the codon UGA by an amino acid, selenocysteine, while it is normally codon- STOP Opal in the genetic code. The secure elements are therefore essential for the synthesis of selenoproteins, mainly enzymes from the oxid-reward family.
In bacteria, secis elements appear shortly after the UGA codons whose translation they alter. Among archaea and eukaryotes, they are in the 3′-terminal region of messenger RNAs and can affect the meaning of several UGA codons. One of these secis elements is in the 5′-terminal region in Methanococcus , you phylum des Erycharchaet [ first ] , [ 2 ] .
The particular secondary structure of the secure elements stems from a sequence of nucleic bases presenting certain distinctive characteristics authorizing this decisive spatial configuration, in particular atypical appearances between pairs of puric bases – guanine and adenine – which are essential to the proper functioning of the secis element .
