Touraine Green Wire , sometimes called Fil Vert , is the old name of the interurban transport network of the department of Indre-et-Loire in the Center-Val de Loire region. Since , the network has disappeared in favor of the interurban mobility network, abbreviated as Rémi [ first ] Following the resumption of the competence of interurban transport by the region.

The Commercial Agency Fil Vert in Tours.

In the sixties, the Fil Vert network did not exist as such, but there were two main coach operators in the department:

  • The Stao (Western Automobile Transport Company), from the Verney group
  • The rapids of Touraine

These two companies ensured each of the relations within the department and to the major cities of the neighboring departments.
Little overlap between the different lines of the two companies was noted, all the lines were departing the bus station located roughly in the same place as today [ 2 ] .

In 1964, Touraine’s rapids had a fleet of nearly forty buses and nine small buses.
The coach livery was yellow with a black belt on the side of the coach.

In , it is Connex Ligeria, subsidiary of Indre-et-Loire of the Veolia Transport group, now Transdev ( Transdev Touraine ), which is entrusted with the management and exploitation of the Fil Vert network and thus succeeds Alphacars, which has become Keolis Touraine.

Since , the Center-Val de Loire region is the owner of the network, but the operation is always entrusted to the department of Indre et Loire.
