Classic Diamonds is the ninth studio album of the singer of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock German Doro Pesch, published in 2004.

The album has new acoustic and symphonic arrangements for Doro’s repertoire songs, as well as new compositions.

Music is mainly played by the Classic Night Orchestra , a set of young classic musicians who accompanies Doro during the next European tour [ 6 ] .

Doro Pesch had already experienced the mixture of his powerful Hard Rock songs with a symphonic orchestra in 2001 during a concert in Düsseldorf and, later, in 2003, for a charity concert in Bochum whose extracts from these two shows are included in the DVD Forever (in) (2003).

The result of these two performances and the reaction of fans encourage the German singer to plan a more organic approach to the symphonic facets of her songs, programming an album and a tour with an orchestra [ 7 ] .

Doro, looking for classic young, open and multi-ethnic musicians, chooses the Classic Night Orchestra , a set reaching the 30 elements [ 7 ] .

With the help of Oliver Palotai, one of the members of the group, and the Torsten Sickert producer, Doro organizes old titles and new compositions for the orchestra and records them in Cologne. The album takes almost eight months to be finalized and is the most expensive recording produced by Doro [ 7 ] .

In addition to the eleven songs played with the orchestra, the album contains two songs recorded in live And acoustically in the studio by the Doro group and two other titles played by Torsten Sickert with an emulator granted to the classic instruments.

Outside of Classic Night Orchestra , the group’s musicians as well as The Midnight Orchestra (on titles I’m in Love with You And She’s Like Thunder ) accompany Doro [ 6 ] In its covers, part of the time it was part of the Warlock group.

The album is published at the time of the European tour, during which many elements of Classic Night Orchestra play together, in live , with the Doro group in most cities crossed. At the Wacken Open Air festival (in Germany) , the Classic Night Orchestra is complete, on stage, for the show.

Throughout the tour, extracts from the show Classic Diamonds are filmed and later broadcast on Classic Diamonds – The DVD  (in) [ 8 ] .

The album culminated at the 33 It is Position of the German classification Longplay [Ref. necessary] .
