Alfred Delacour or Alfred-Charlemagne Delacour , pseudonyms of Pierre-Alfred Lartigue [ first ] , born the in Bordeaux [ 2 ] and dead the in Paris 9 It is [ 3 ] , is a French playwright and librettist.

Alfred Delacour is the son of the pharmacist and chemist François Lartigue (1767-1842) and Madeleine Delacour (1779-1871). His uncle, Pierre Delacour (1778-1859), is a professor at the Bordeaux painting school.

In parallel with his profession as a doctor he had been working since 1841 [ 4 ] , Delacour gradually turns to the theater [ 5 ] . Prolific author, he collaborated in particular with Eugène Labiche and Clairville in several Vaudevilles [ 6 ] .

He marries, the , in Paris ( 2 It is ), Philippine Louise Marie Judith Laub, born on , in Lutry in Switzerland [ 7 ] and died on October 8, 1895, in Neuilly-sur-Seine [ 8 ] .

The couple will live a few years in Arromanches-les-Bains, rue de la Campaign [ 9 ] , [ ten ] .

He dies of diabetes [ 11 ] In his home, 39 rue de Châteaudun. Temporarily buried, the , at the Parisian cemetery of La Chapelle [ twelfth ] , [ 13 ] , his body was then transferred a few days later to the Chartreuse cemetery in Bordeaux in the cellar of the Lartigue-Delacour family.
