K Ourodenberg Sport – Wikipedia

The Royal Ourodenberg Sport is a former Belgian football club, based in the Ourodenberg district, in Aarschot. Carrier 3587 , he disappeared in 1983 in a merger with Aarschot Sport , to form the KV Ourodenberg-Aarschot, which will cease its activities in 2007. During its history, the club played 5 seasons in national series, all in promotion.

The club was founded in 1930 under the name of Ourodenberg Sport . He joined the Belgian Union August 3, 1942 , and receives the number on this occasion 3587 . Another club in the city of Aarschot is already affiliated with the Federation, Aarschot Sport, which joined the national series after the Second World War. Ourodenberg remains confined to the provincial series for a little over thirty years.

In 1974, while Arschot Sport has come back into provincials for ten years, Ourodenberg Sport has completed Vice Brabant Champion behind FC Olympia Haacht and joined promotion for the first time in its history, the fourth Belgian national level. He is then the best classified club in the city. The club is doing well the first season, ending in the classification world, but the following season is less good, and sees the club ending last and relegated to the first provincial. A year later, he returned to promotion, but undergoes a new relegation after a season.

The February 26, 1980 , the club is recognized ” Royal company »To his fiftieth anniversary, and changes his official name to Royal Ourodenberg Sport . He celebrated this recognition in 1981 with a new accession to national series. The club begins its new stay with an exceptional season, finishing third in its series in 1982, its best historical ranking. But again, the club fails to confirm, and is relegated to the provincial first at the end of the following season.

Following this new relegation, talks take place between Ourodenberg Sport and Aarschot Sport, which lead to the merger of the two entities, to form the KV Ourodenberg-Aarschot. The club retains the number 441 of Aarschot Sport, while the 3587 D’Ourodenberg is struck off by the Federation.
