Alex Verdegay strap (Barcelona, 11 April 1974) is a Spanish television commentator and a former tennis player.
Corretja made its appearance in the ATP tournaments in 1992, when he made his debut in his home tournament. His climb to the top positions was long but constant: thanks to a solid field game, which was enhanced on the red earth, Corretja collected excellent results that led him to be number 2 in the world in 1999, his own best ranking .
In total Corretja won 438 games out of 719 played, which have yielded 17 tournaments to him. Furthermore, Corretja reached the final of Roland Garros on two occasions: in 1998 he was beaten by Moyá, while in 2001 he lost against Gustavo Kuerten.
In 2000 he won the Davis Cup with Spain.
