For the 2017 season, Álex Rins signs with Team Suzuki Ecstar and becomes the teammate of the Italian Andrea Iannone. He ended the season in 16th place.
In 2018, the pilot made a remarkable season and finally placed in fifth place in the final MotoGP ranking.
For this new 2019 season, Rins is eagerly awaited after the thunderous end of the season he did during the 2018 season. Also on the handlebars of a Suzuki GSXR-R, he shares the team with the Spanish pilot Joan Mir [ 4 ] . He offered his very first MotoGP victory on the Americas circuit in front of Valentino Rossi and Jack Miller. He won his second victory on the British circuit of Silverstone by exceeding Marc Marquez in the last turn and crossing the finish line with 13 thousandths of a second.
