Alexander Vladimirovich Denis’ev ( in Russian: Alexander Vladimirovich Denisiev ? ; Anglo -Saxon transliteration Alexandr Vladimirovich Denisyev ; Krasnojarsk, January 27, 1991) is a Russian slipper, Olympic silver medal in the team race in Soči 2014 and world champion in the double sprint at Soči 2020.

He started competing for the Russian national team in the various youth categories in the double specialty, paired with Vladislav Antonov, with whom he shared all his most important results also in the upper category, obtaining the European Juniores title in Igls 2011, a medal of Bronze at the Category World Championships of Nagano 2009 and twice the third place in the final classification of the Juniores World Cup, in 2009/10 and 2010/11.

At the absolute level he made his debut in the World Cup in the 2011/12 season, he won the first podium on January 17, 2015 in the double at Oberhof (3rd) and his first victory on January 28, 2018 in Sigulda in the team competition. In the general classification he reached fourth place in double in 2019/20.

He participated in two editions of the winter Olympic Games: in Soči 2014 he caught the fifth place in the double and conquered the silver medal in the team race; On 22 December 2017, the Disciplinary Commission of the International Olympic Committee took note of the violations of the anti -doping regulations made by ABBLEMENKO and TAT’JANA IVANOVA on the occasion of the Olympics of Soči, consequently canceling the results obtained by these two athletes, including that of the team test and therefore also forcing Denis’ev to return the medal received [first] [2] . Subsequently, on 1 February 2018, the Arbitration Court of Sport accepted the appeal filed by Demčenko and Ivanova, thus revoking all the sanctions imposed on them by the IOC and thus also returning to Denis’ev the conquered silver [3] . At PyeongChang 2018 he finished in eleventh place in the double and seventh in the team race.

He also took part in seven editions of the World Championships by winning in total three medals, one of which is gold. In detail, his results in the iridated tests were, in the double: twelfth at Altenberg 2012, twelfth at Whistler 2013, twenty -third in Schönau am Königssee 2016, sixth in Igls 2017, twelfth at Winterberg 2019, silver medal in Soči 2020 and thirteenth to Schönau AM Königssee 2021; In the double sprint: tenth in Schönau am Königssee 2016, ninth in Igls 2017, ninth at Winterberg 2019, gold medal in Soči 2020 and fourteenth in Schönau am Königssee 2021; In team tests: bronze medal in Igls 2017 and sixth in Schönau am Königssee 2021.

In the continental reviews it boasts four medals conquered: two golden, one of which won in the double in Soči 2015 and one in the team test in Sigulda 2018 plus a silver and one of bronze obtained in the team race respectively in Soči 2015 and At Altenberg 2016.
