Amanda Peet (New York, 11 January 1972) is an American actress.

He was born in New York on January 11, 1972 in a very religious family: his father, Charles Peet, is a lawyer Quacchero while his mother Penny is a Jewish social worker. Amanda studies in the Quacchera Friends Seminar school (also attended by the future actor Liev Schreiber) and subsequently enrolled in the Faculty of History of Columbia University, where he has a teacher Uta Hagen as a teacher. At the end of his four-year period of studies with Hagen he takes part in the Revival (Off-Broadway) of the Clifford Odets comedy Awake and Sing .

He appeared for the first time on television in the advertising of the skittles candies and subsequently had the role of “guest star” in the police show Law & Order . The debut on the big screen took place with the comedy Animal Room (1995), who was not very successful and did not arrive in Italy.
