Amanda tapping is a British-Canadian television actress, born on in Rochford, in Essex.

It is mainly known for its role as Samantha Carter in television series Stargate SG-1 And Stargate Atlantis , Stargate Universe, and for that of Doctor Helen Magnus in Sanctuary.

Amanda has two older brothers and a twin. At the age of 3, she left with her family to live in Ontario, Canada. In high school, she won two awards: the ” Dramatic Arts Award ” and the ” Environmental Science Award ». She studied the environment and the dramatic arts in the North Toronto Collegiate Institute in Canada.

At the end of her studies, she did not want to make cinema, so devoting herself entirely to the theater. But she finally decides to advertise to make ends meet.
