He went to Chicago in early 1903 to interpret a series of minor roles in the musical comedy The Wizard of Oz . [first] He remained in Italy for the next five years, performing in roles as a protagonist in opera theaters such as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the San Carlo Theater, the Teatro Massimo and La Fenice. I also performed at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and the Col\u00f3n Theater in Buenos Aires. In 1915 Anna Fitziu received a short -term contract at the Metropolitan Opera of New York City. After signing the contract, he made his debut with the company in the role of Rosario in the world premiere of Goyescas by Enrique Granados on January 28, 1916, with Giovanni Martinelli as Fernando, Flora Perini like Pepa, Giuseppe De Luca as Paquiro and Gaetano Bavagnoli at the Management. It was the only role I ever played at the Metropolitan, although it appeared in several Sunday evening concerts. [2] In 1916 he was engaged in the New Orleans Opera. From 1917 to 1919 Anna Fitziu was the main soprano of the Chicago Opera Association. With the company he also played the role of the protagonist in the world premiere of BEN DIFFERA, daughter of Montezuma by Henry Kimball Hadley on December 26, 1917 and the role of the protagonist in the US Premi\u00e8re of Loreley by Alfredo Catalani in 1919.
