The Beach Golf is literally the golf course. This game was born out of a marketing study, with the aim of extiring preconception that sees golf as an elitist and circumscribed: it demolishes the strict rules of the golf.
This game takes place on a route of 2 km , on which the players, 2 per team, must join the last hole, with the smallest possible number of the blows, by hitting a small expanded polyurethane ball with a classic club.
Beach Golf, for its double nature of sport and marketing instrument, is also used for tourism promotion and products in general.
The Beach Golf was born in Italy in 1999, in Pescara by the entrepreneur Mauro de Marco, today the president.
Its intention is to extricate the elements that make golf courses elite and return it within everyone’s reach. Mauro de Marco chooses as a place for his game, the crowded summer beaches of people and he transforms them into a real playing course among the dressing rooms, the length chairs and the swimmers who therefore become the natural obstacles of competition .
The process without physical barriers of this game, allows the public present to dialogue with the Beach Golf, and therefore create a single field of play in which the spectators are interactive and participants.
With the Beach Golf, all the inflexible rules and the behavior of traditional golf are abolished thanks to more fun situations and free of bonds.
The game develops for 2 kilometers of beach where the teams, made up of two players each (including a professional player and a beginner player), defy to arrive at the last hole with the smallest possible number of blows; The journey is not delimited.
The small ball used is made of expanded polyurethane so as not to create lesions to passers -by.
Throughout the journey, there is music and many fun opportunities that cause the present public, which for the first time in a sport, actively between the game.
The Beach-Golfist action space is delimited by a 5-meter protective strip raised by 3 splendid girls: Caddy Girls. They accompany the progress of the game and they are fascinating animators and, at the same time, judges of the competition.

The rules of play leave nothing to chance: they consider each type of situation.

The team is made up of two players, a play has a low handicap, and the other a greater handicap. The sum of the handicaps divided into two represents the handicap of the team and it will signal how many improvements in the ball they can have.
The game is that partners play in turn. It is not admitted that one player replaces the other, in this case they lose blows and distance.

The scorecard is the card on which there are the data of the team and the history of the game.
It is made up of nine zones:
- Team: name of the sponsor, which gives the name to the team itself;
- I Player: name, first name, handicap;
- II player: name, first name, handicap;
- Team’s handicap: the arithmetic average of the addition of disability of players;
- Score: each shot executed will be marked;
- Fall: each fall made will be written;
- Penalty: each penalty inflicted will be marked;
- Handicap: each improvement in the ball will be made;
- Marker: The first name of Caddy Girls, head of the scorecard during the competition.

The field of play is developing on the beach.
When the Beach Golf is organized in Pescara, the departure is in Place Paolucci and the arrival is at Stadio del Mare, the Cascella boat. It has a length of 1,600 meters for a width that corresponds to the whole beach.

The starting area is the area in which the first draft will be made.
It consists in a plastic carpet, roughly, 1.50 × 1.50 m ². The ball will be placed on the special tee. The players will make a tee shot.
The honor is given to the player with the lower handicap.
The blow to the void or the ball that just drove forward, are considered here, as along the passage, a blow. If the ball falls from the tee without being touched, it can be replaced.
Each team will leave three minutes after the previous one.
The period allowed is ten minutes after which there will be the departure of the next team. The team that will have arrived late will leave the last with a penalty of five access.
