Childrens Hospital is a satirical American television series that is mourning the genre of the medical dramatic series, created by actor Rob Corddry. The series was initially broadcast on the web in in the form of ten episodes of about 5 minutes. The rights were bought by Adult Swim In 2009, the format increased to approximately 11 minutes, and these new episodes were broadcast from the .

In France, it was broadcast from the on MCM. It remains unprecedented in other French -speaking countries.

  • Rob Corddry : D r Blake Downs, a clown doctor who is generally not laughing at his patients and who is poorly considered by the rest of the staff. Rob Corddry also plays the interpreter of his character in false documentaries, Cutter Spindell (until his death), then Rory Spindell.
  • Megan Mullally: Chief, the staff chief, heavily disabled and of Native American origin. Despite its repulsive physical appearance, it is often found attractive by the male staff of the hospital. Chief is < > by Lady Jane Bentick-Smith, an English actress of theater.

  • Lake Bell : D r Cat Black, the narrator of the series during the first season. She died in layers at the start of the second season but returned, having then lost her medical knowledge, during the final. She then returned to hospital staff.
  • Malin Åkerman (season 2 – today): D r Valerie Flame, of Swedish origin, the replacement for Cat Black and narrator of the second season. During the final of this season, she reveals that she is in fact a man, the hidden son of the D r Arthur Childrens, Derrick Childrens, in a parody of the Tootsie outcome. Subsequently, she is generally considered a woman, her true nature being mentioned only episodically. Valerie Flame is interpreted by Ingrid Hagerstown, a Swedish actress who does not speak English and who learns her replicas in phonetics.
  • Henry Winkler (season 2 – today): Sy Mittleman, the hospital administrator. He is despised by doctors because of his lack of authority, despite some access to authoritarianism. Sy Mittleman is interpreted by Fred Nunley, a veteran of American television who generally joins series about to be canceled.

  • David Wain (Season 2, 3 and 5): Jewy McJewjew, a rabbi whose name can be noted the Jewishness and chaplain of the hospital. He is the rival in love of Glenn Richie, with whom he had taken religion lessons. David Wain also plays his own role in the false documentaries, that of director and co-series of the series.
  • Mather Zickel  (in) (season 2, 3 and 4): Louis Lafonda, the presenter of Newsreaders , a report of reports, several episodes of which have brought behind the scenes of Childrens Hospital . Adult swim produced in 2013 a series named name Newsreaders , where Zickel resumes his role.
