Christopher Deon « Chris » Brown, also known as « Fireman », (born the in Nassau) is a Bahamian athlete specializing in 400 meters. World indoor world champion of the 400 m in 2010 in Doha, he is also Olympic champion of the 4 x 400 m relay in 2012 in London and world champion in 2001 in Edmonton.

He has one of the most beautiful records in the discipline: 4 Olympic medals with 4 x 400 m relay (gold in 2012, silver in 2008, bronze in 2000 and 2016), 4 world medals on this same relay (gold in 2001, Silver in 2005 and 2007, bronze in 2003) as well as 6 world indoor medals, including 5 on the individual event (gold in 2010, silver in 2014, bronze in 2006, 2008 and 2012).

Member of the Bahamas 4 × 400 m relay, Chris Brown won several medals for the world athletics championships. Initially seconds of the Edmonton Worlds in 2001, the Bahamas finally recovered the gold medal following the disqualification of the United States team for doping of Antonio Pettigrew. He also won money in this discipline in 2001, 2005 and 2007, and bronze in 2003. He was also a member of the Bahaméan silver medalist relay during the 2008 summer Olympic Games.

In 2006, Chris Brown won his first medal individually during a major international competition, finishing third place in the Moscow World Championships. He obtained the best results of his career at the 2007 Pan -Ramanian Games in Rio de Janeiro by winning first on 400 m in front of the Canadian Tyler Christopher, before winning the 4 × 400 m relay final a few days later alongside by Andrae Williams, Avard Moncur and Michael Mathieu.
