The County of Upton (in English : Upton County ) is a county located in the center-west of the state of Texas in the United States. Founded the , its county headquarters is the city of Rankin. According to the 2020 United States census, its population is 3,308 inhabitants. The county has an area of 3,215.4 km 2 , including almost all in terrestrial surfaces. He is baptized in honor of generals John C. and William E. Upton.
The county of Upton is created the , from the Tom Green County Lands [ first ] . It is definitely organized and autonomous, the [ first ] .
He is baptized in reference to two brothers, John C. and William E. Upton, both generals, during the Civil War [ 2 ] , [ 3 ] .
The county of Upton is located in the center-west of the state of Texas, in the United States [ 4 ] , [ 5 ] , on the Edwards set [ 2 ] .
It has a total area of 3,215.4 km 2 , composed of 3,215 km 2 of land and 0.4 km 2 of aquatic zones [ 6 ] .
During the 2010 census, the county had a population of 3,355 inhabitants [ 7 ] . In 2017, the population was estimated at 3,663 inhabitants [ 7 ] , [ 8 ] .
