Badfinger singles

Come and Get It is a song composed and produced by Paul McCartney, it was offered to the Badfinger group to serve as a theme for the film The Magic Christian , featuring Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr. A demo will be recorded by its author playing all the instruments and will be included on the album of the Beatles Anthology 3 in 1996.

Paul McCartney recorded this solo demo on , when he arrived in advance for a Beatles recording sessions for the album Abbey Road . He sings and played the piano during the first catch, sings again and plays maracas during the first overdub , the battery is recorded in third and the bass was added last. Compared to the version re -recorded by Badfinger, the biggest differences are a slightly slower tempo, a slightly higher tone on the McCartney demo and the use of three -part harmonies on the group’s single. McCartney heard each of the four artists for the main song on Come and Get It . In the end, he chose his compatriot of Liverpool Tom Evans, to the detriment of the three Welsh, Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths and Mike Gibbins.

The single came out on Apple Records on in the United Kingdom, but that the in the USA. Come and Get It was a success for the group, reaching the 7 It is rank in the United States and 4 It is UK.
