Dhanush (Tamil: Sagittarius ), neither Venkatesh Prabhu kasthoori raja the , is an actor of Indian cinema, producer, director, singer, screenwriter and lyricist who works mainly in Kollywood cinema.

From a young age, Dhanush has always been compared to the legendary expert in martial arts Bruce Lee due to the similar appearance.

His first film was Thulluvadho ilamai en 2002 Directed by his brother, Selvaraghavan and credited by his father, Kasthoori Raja. Dhanush married Aishwarya, the eldest daughter of the Indian superstar Rajinikanth the . They have two sons, Yatra and Linga, born in 2006 and 2010. They announced their separation on January 17, 2022 after 18 years of marriage.
