The DSHK 1938 ( DSK , For Degtyareva Shpagin is large -caliber , Degtiariova Chpaguina Kroupnokaliberny , “Big degtiarev-chpaguine caliber”) is a heavy anti-aircraft Soviet machine gun drawing cartridges 12.7 × 108 mm , also used as a heavy machine gun for infantry. It is mainly used during the Second World War on a wheel on wheel or a tripod and until today by several armies around the world as a supporting weapon for infantry or mounted on vehicles.

It takes its name from its designers Vassili Degtiarev, which designed the original weapon (in 1935), and Gueorgui Chpaguine, which improved the food mechanism (in 1938), modifying the weapon so that it can receive Metal strips of 50 cartridges (instead of 30 for the original weapon).

She is sometimes nicknamed Douchka (darling), of its abbreviation.
