She Chen (traditional Chinese : Chen Jiahua ; Simplified Chinese : Chen Jiahua ; pinyin : ; Wade : Chen Chia-Hwa ) is a Taiwanese singer and actress, born the in Pingtung. It is mainly known as a member of the S.H.E group with Selina Ren and Hebe Tien.
Chen Jia-Hua is the third of a family of four children. She has two sisters and a younger brother. She studied in Tajen University, located south of the island. Ella loves to play basketball and computer games. His biggest dream is to sing in concert in front of a large number of spectators. His favorite colors are white and black. In 2000, the new independent label, Him International Music, appeared in the Taiwanese music industry. In order to sign new artists under their label, he decided to organize a singing competition called “Universal Talent and Beauty Girl Contest”.
The , during a trip with her older sister to Taipei, she discovers that she in fact enrolled it to the famous “Universal Talent and Beauty Girl Contest”. Advancing defeated even before he heard in front of the judges, Chen Jia-Hua was afraid that people laugh because of her raged boy appearance. She returned to her occupations in a local hospital where she underwent nurse training. It was decided, originally, that only the big winner of the competition would sign a contract, in this case Ren Jia-Xuan. Remembering the two other participants, they decided to train the very first Taiwanese music group made up only of girls. The three young women therefore became S.H.E thus designating the first letter of the first name which was given to them by the company. Ren Jia-Xuan became Selina, Tien Fu-Zhen became Hebe and Chen Jia-Hua became Ella who means “courage”. In less than a week, they got to know each other and became as close as the sisters.

Although the majority of S.H.E songs are written and composed by other artists, Ella has contributed to the composition of the music of Wifey (老婆) which is found in the album “Play”. One day, the young woman told one of her romantic stories that had ended badly to Jay Chou. The latter composed Migratory Bird (候鳥) And she was very moved by reading the words. Ella Chen began her acting career by playing the role of Juliet in the drama Magical Love In 2001 with Hebe.
