The First price is a prize awarded since 2007 by RTBF, the public radio and television channel in the French Community of Belgium [ first ] .

This price is in the continuity of its Literary Auditors Prize , also called the “Prix Point de Mire” and awarded from 1983 to 1993 [ first ] , [ 2 ] .

It rewards a first French -speaking novel, published between the Literary Return of September and January.

It is handed over during the Brussels Book Fair.
