Its members are called Bulls ( bulls ) which means Bulls in Russian or Gorojanié ( townspeople ), which means City dwellers . Founded in February 2008 By the oligarch Sergueï Galitski, the club begins in the third Russian division the same year, finishing third in the Sud group synonymous with promotion in the second division. After two years at this level and despite a fifth place in 2010, Krasnodar takes advantage of the withdrawal of several clubs from the first Russian division to integrate this level from the 2011-2012 season and have been maintaining it since. Since the 2013-2014 season, during which the club has reached the final of the Russian Cup and finishes fifth in the Russian championship, the FK Krasnodar takes part in the Europa League in which it reached the knockout stages in 2017 and in 2019. Evolving at the Stade Troud during its first year, the club subsequently shared the Kouban stadium with the Kouban Krasnodar, another club in the city, before moving into the FK Krasnodar stadium in October 2016 . It then evolves alternately between the second and the Russian first division, having the status of club-ascenseur never itself in one or the other. In 2007, the Russian billionaire and president of Magnit Sergei Galitski tried to buy Kouban, a process that finally failed [ 4 ] , [ 5 ] . This failure finally led him to found his own club at the beginning of 2008, the FK Krasnodar, which obtains its professional license February 22 of the same year and thus joined the Russian third division [ 5 ] . This new team played their first official match two months later on April 12 Against the Nika Krasny Souline (in) As part of the South group. The club then consists mainly of young players from the region led by Vladimir Voltchek and evolves at the Torpedo stadium in Taganrog. While the FKK ranks fifth with thirty points at the end of the first leg, the management decides to return Voltchek to replace it with Noubi Khakounov and performs in the wake an important reworking of workforce during the summer of 2008. For his First season, the team finally finished third in the southern group behind the Volgar Astrakhan and the Bataïsk-2007 (in) , thus failing to promote [ 6 ] . However, the end of 2008 sees the withdrawal of ska rostov and the sportakademklub Moscow of the second division for financial reasons, leading Krasnodar to be officially invited to the higher level for the 2009 season [ 7 ] , [ 8 ] . Sergei Tachouïev heads the team in the 2010 season. In order to be competitive in this division, the club an active recruitment campaign which sees almost 80% of the workforce being renewed, with the arrival of many free or loan players such as MAKSIM DEMENKO (in) , Ievgueni Kalechine, Igor Picuşceac or Ricardo Baiano. Thanks to these major changes, the team quickly becomes competitive and manages to easily ensure its maintenance by finishing tenth of the championship with 52 points, twelve ahead of the relegation [ 8 ] . Wishing to continue on this momentum, the leaders decide to separate from Khakounov to appoint the most renowned Sergei Tachouïev as coach for the 2010 exercise. Under his orders, the FKK is quickly placed as one of the best teams in the competition in Direct competition with in particular the Kouban Krasnodar, even occupying the head of the ranking in mid-season. Despite the recruitments of Spartak Gogniev and Aleksandr Martynovitch during the summer, the second half of the championship is more complicated for the club which must finally be satisfied with a fifth position, ten points from a sports promotion in the first division, while Kouban wins the competition [ 8 ] . At the end of this failure, Tachouïev left Krasnodar at the end of the season and is replaced by the Serbian Slavoljub Muslin in the month of December 2010 . Starting in 2011 with a view to a direct promotion in the elite, the club is again very active in its recruitment, bringing in particular several international or experienced players such as Alexander Amisulashvili, Dušan Anđelković, Nikola Drinčić, Joãozinho, Aliaksandr Kulchy, Yura Movsisyan or Nemanja Tubić. However, this ambition is carried out at the end of the month of January 2011 , the Saturn Ramenskoïe then withdrawing from the first division for financial reasons while the FKK is chosen to replace it because of its infrastructure and its best financial health [ 8 ] , [ 9 ] . He thus joined the first division for the 2011-2012 season, only three years after his foundation. 2011-2014: first years in the elite [ modifier | Modifier and code ] Arrived in 2011, Joãozinho became one of the main players of the club during his first years in the elite. This promotion thus allows the first Russian division to welcome two Krasnodar teams for the first time in its history, and to know its first non-moscovite derby June 18, 2011 When the two teams compete at the Kouban stadium, which then houses the two teams, the FKK winning the first confrontation on the scoring of 1-0 thanks to a goal from Nikola Drinčić, while the Kouban takes its revenge in the return match Winner 2-0 [ 5 ] . In general, for its first season in the elite, the club is experiencing very inconsistent results, notably winning a victory against Rubin Kazan at his home and obtaining several draws against the tops of the ranking, but also conceding several heavy defeats Against these, especially on the lawn of the Spartak Moscow (0-4) and the Zénith Saint-Petersburg (0-5), the latter still constituting the widest defeat of the club in the league today [ ten ] . The team is however doing better against the classification teams and managed to rank ninth at the end of the first phase of the championship, however failing to take part in the group for the title during the second phase with ten Points behind the eighth, and having to settle for easy support by dominating the hen of relegation, while Yura Movsisyan scored fourteen goals during the season and ends the fourth top scorer in the championship.Satisfied by this first performance, the owner Sergei Galitski establishes in the process the main principles of the long -term team, which will evolve “step by step” and will mainly be focused on the constitution of a team composed largely of players Russians or foreigners at a modest price, despite the rich finances of the club, offering an offensive and pleasant game for the public [ 5 ] . With this in mind, he announces the construction of a large sports complex for training as well as a large stadium belonging to the club, the FK Krasnodar stadium, which is built between 2013 and 2016. Weakened by the notable departure of Movsisyan for the Spartak Moscow in mid-season 2012-2013, and despite the arrivals of Vladislav Ignatiev, Mauricio Pereyra, Sergei Petrov, Igor Smolnikov and Wánderson, the FKK knows a disappointing season which sees it stagn The bottom of the ranking despite the good performances of Movsisyan and Wánderson which allow the club to distinguish itself among the best attacks in the championship, with in particular large victories against Anji Makhatchkala (4-0) and the Mordovia Saransk (6-1 ) despite finally a tenth position due to an inconstancy always as marked, in particular outside. Despite this, Muslin extends his contract with the club in the month of may 2013 Before being finally dismissed from his duties in the following month of August, the owner believing that the team does not progress sufficiently under his direction [ 11 ] . The new team coach is Oleg Kononov, recruited at PFK Sebastopol, while Krasnodar is again active in the transfer market by recruiting in particular the Brazilian striker Ari, the Polish midfielder Artur Jędrzejczyk and the Swedish central defender Andreas Granqvist , as well as the nationals Iouri Gazinski, Vitali Kalechine (in) and pavel mamaïev. With this recruitment, the 2013-2014 season is much better than the previous one and the club this time manages to hang fifth place in the ranking, synonymous with qualification in the Europa League for the first time in the history of the club , notably obtaining a prestige victory at home against the Spartak Moscow on the 4-0 score in mars 2014 . In parallel, he carried out a notable course in the Russian Cup where he notably defeated the CSKA Moscow to access the final of the competition, before being beaten on penalties by the FK Rostov [ 8 ] . 2014-2016: First European campaigns under Kononov [ modifier | Modifier and code ] Team photo against Everton in October 2014. Welcoming Odil Ahmedov, Vladimir Bystrov, Andriy Dikan and Marat Izmaïlov in the summer of 2014, Krasnodar began his first European campaign in mid-July against the Estonian team of Sillamäe Kalev in the second round of qualifying the league of the League of the League Europa 2014-2015. Easy winner on the 9-0 score, he then dismissed the Hungarian club of Diósgyőri VTK with an equally large result (8-1) before being confronted in play-offs in the Spaniards of Real Sociedad. Defeated during the first leg in Spain on a goal from Xabier Pieto, the Krasnodarians finally prevail during the return match by scoring three goals at the end of the second period thanks to Joãozinho, Mauricio Pereyra and Ari for a cumulative score of 3-1 to to qualify for the group phase of the competition. They are subsequently pulled within the “Death Group” composed of the Lille OSC, the VFL Wolfsburg and Everton [ 8 ] . Getting only three points in the first five games, the FKK is finally eliminated for a day from the end, although winning this last meeting on the lawn of an Everton already qualified to finish third [ 5 ] . Arrived in the summer of 2015, Fiodor Smolov stands out as the team’s regular scorer for three years. Meanwhile, in the league, the team continues on its good dynamics from the previous season and ranks fourth at the winter break by recording notable victories against the Spartak (4-0) then the CSKA Moscow (2-1), Although being heavily defeated 4-0 by the Zénith Saint-Petersburg just before the truce. Being subsequently undefeated during the second part of the season, Krasnodar thus manages to place himself comfortably on the podium with a total of 60 points, ending at seven units from the zenith which prevails while it fails in a second position synonymous qualification in the Champions League behind the CSKA due to the smallest number of wins won and must thus be satisfied with a new qualification in the Europa League [ 5 ] . In parallel with these sports performances, the season is marked by the investigation of the club by UEFA in September 2014 Due to non-compliance with financial fair play [ twelfth ] , which leads to the month of May 2015 It is up to the club to register new players purchased for European competitions for the 2015-2016 financial year, the prohibition does not however concern players recruited or on loan [ 13 ] . The 2015-2016 pre-season is marked by the implementation of regulations limiting the number of foreign players within the Russian championship, with in particular a minimum of five Russian team players during the matches. These restrictions push the club to make a recruitment made up only of free players and loans, which does not prevent it from strengthening with the arrivals of Charles Kaboré from Kouban Krasnodar, as well as Fiodor Smolov and Dmitri Torbinski who both come from Dynamo Moscow [ 5 ] . On the European level, the team is experiencing a very satisfactory exercise which sees him reach again the group phase of the Europa League where he finished this time in the group in particular in front of Borussia Dortmund and the PAOK Salonica with four victories for a draw and a defeat. However, it is eliminated dryly from the sixties of the finals by the Sparta Prague on the 4-0 score in February 2016 . Meanwhile in the league, the team limited by the regulation is struggling to resume their cruising rate and begins the competition with only three victories in the first twelve games, which include a 2-0 victory on the lawn of the Zenith as well That a large success at home 4-0 against Dynamo Moscow. She then resumed herself at the end of the year and recorded five successes on six games before the winter break, including 2-1 victories against CSKA Moscow and FK Rostov to finally place herself sixth in the month of December 2015 . The second part of the season is marked by the rise of Fiodor Smolov which scores no less than fourteen goals in the last twelve days of the championship, including a quadruple against the Urald Iekaterinburg (6-0) and a hat-trick against the Krylia Sovetov Samara (3-0), to reach the total of twenty achievements throughout the season and finish top scorer in the Russian championship. At the same time, he delivers nine assists while Pavel Mamaïev is also distinguished with ten achievements and thirteen assists making him the second best passer behind Hulk. These performances thus help the FKK to win eight of these twelve games and finally reach fourth place in the ranking. He reached the semi-finals of the national cup in parallel where he is however defeated by the CSKA Moscow [ 5 ] . 2016-2018: unsuccessful struggle for the Champions League [ modifier | Modifier and code ] Released from its restrictions for the purchase of players, the club recruits in particular during the summer of 2016 Viktor Claesson, Naldo and Cristian Ramírez, while Leksandr Martynovitch returns from a loan to the Urald Iekaterinburg, although the defender Icelandic Ragnar Sigurðsson leaves the team to join Fulham. Although qualifying easily for the group stage of the Europa League and after a start -up marked by two large home victories against Tom Tomsk and Terek Grozny, Krasnodar is then weighed down by a series of serious injuries concerning in particular pavel Mamaïev but also Ricardo Laborde and Wánderson who has the effect of seeing the club go through a series of four games without championship victories which is fatal in the coach Oleg Kononov who resigns from his post September 13, 2016 [ 14 ] . It is replaced in the process by the coach of the FK Krasnodar-2 Igor Chalimov who first ensures the interim before being appointed full time at the beginning of October [ 15 ] . FK Krasnodar moved into its new stadium in October 2016. Under their orders, the team later recoveries in the league, remaining notably undefeated in the following ten games to rank fifth at the winter break, although conceding five draws in this series marked by the injury of Fiodor Smolov Durant All the month of October and finish on a defeat against the Terek (1-2) and a draw against the Krylia Sovetov Samara (1-1). Meanwhile, in the Europa League the club is fired within group I containing the OGC Nice, the Red Bull Salzburg as well as Schalke 04. Starting on two victories against Salzburg then Nice, the FKK then obtains A draw in the last four games but still manages to qualify for the final phase by finishing second with seven points, exceeding Salzburg thanks to the results in direct confrontations [ 5 ] . In addition, the match against Schalke 04 in the month of October 2016 sees the inauguration of the new FK Krasnodar stadium, a regular pregnant of the club with a capacity of 33,500 seats. Winter 2017 sees the notable departures of Odil Ahmedov for the Chinese club of Shankhai Sipg, Artur Jędrzejczyk for Legia Warsaw and Ari who goes on loan to Lokomotiv Moscow while the injured in the start of the season are gradually their Back to the first team. Resuming the competition in mid- February 2017 , the FK Krasnodar starts the year on a sixteenth final of the Europa League against Fenerbahçe, which it wins thanks to goals from Claesson and Smolov (2-1) before falling to the next round against Celta Vigo (1-4 ). Subsequently in the league, the team carried by Smolov striker eight times for the second part of the season, however, experienced mixed results with five victories for six draws and two defeats, which still lead to a new fourth position. The 2017-2018 pre-season is mainly marked by the departures of Vladimir Bystrov, Dmitri Torbinski, Vitali Kalechine (in) , Naldo, Dmitri Torbinski and Wánderson. While the club notably recruits another Wanderson, coming from the Red Bull Salzburg. In the process, the start of the exercise saw the team know their first European disillusionment, with an elimination from the dams of the Europa League against the red star of Belgrade. In the championship, the team was experiencing positive beginnings by suffering only a defeat in the first ten games. These good beginnings were quickly darken by a period of inconstancy which sees the club standing fourth at the winter break. Unhappy with the lack of progress from the team, Sergei Galitski finally decides to return Igor Chalimov at the beginning of the month of April 2018 and replace it with the coach of young people Mourad Moussaïev [ 16 ] , which maintains the club in fourth position but fails two points from the Champions League. 2018-: Qualifications in the Champions League [ modifier | Modifier and code ] At the end of the season, Moussaïev is confirmed in his duties as principal coach but, lacking in a UEFA Pro license, it is his deputy Oleg Fomenko who is legally registered at the head of the team in the championship and in Europa League for the 2018-2019 season [ 17 ] . Summer 2018 is also marked by the departures of Fiodor Smolov for the Lokomotiv Moscow while Joãozinho, Andreas Granqvist and Ricardo Laborde are left free by the club. In the other direction, Ari returns from his loan to Lokomotiv while Christian Cueva, Uroš Spajić and Dmitri Stotski are recruited. On the national level, the FK Krasnodar is experiencing a very positive start to the season seeing him standing out with an offensive and attractive game allowing him to classify himself secondly to the winter break, at a point from the Zenith Saint Petersburg [ 18 ] . Meanwhile, the club directly integrates the group phase of the Europa League within Group J containing in particular Seville FC and the Standard de Liège, which he managed to get out by counting four victories for two defeats, ranking him second behind Seville. During the winter break, the team records the arrivals of Kristofofer Olsson de l’Aik Solna and Dmitri Skopintsev from the FK Rostov, while several young people from the training center that shone with the FK Krasnodar-2 in the second division make their entry In the rotation of the team, namely Matveï Safonov, Ivan Ignatiev, Danil Outkine and Magomed-Chapi Souleïmanov. Resuming with the knockout stages of the Europa League in February 2019 , the club manages to undo Bayer Leverkusen thanks to a goal from Souleïmanov at the end of the match before being eliminated in the next round by Valence which won the confrontation in the last moments thanks to a goal from Gonçalo Guedes. In the championship, the FKK is experiencing a very difficult recovery to him to chain four games without victory causing him from the title race, which is definitely abandoned after the confrontation at home against the zenith in the month of April 2019 , a kind of “final” for the championship which leads to a 3-2 defeat of the Krasnodarians after a very disputed meeting later considered as one of the best in the season or even the history of the Russian championship [ 19 ] , [ 20 ] . The club then manages to recover from this defeat and finally ensure its place on the podium at the end of the penultimate day, allowing it to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in its history finishing third [ 21 ] . To prepare for this campaign, the FKK is experiencing a very active summer 2019 which sees it spending no less than 26 million euros in purchases of players, including 12 million for the only Rémy Cabella from AS Saint-Étienne which becomes the most expensive purchase in the history of the club. In parallel are also recruited Tonny Vilhena, Kaio (in) , Younes Namli, Rouslan Kambolov as well as Marcus Berg while Christian Cueva leaves [ 22 ] , [ 23 ] . Despite this, and the victory against FC Porto during the third qualification round, the team finally fails to qualify for the group phase, being eliminated during the roadblocks by Olympiakos and thus drafted in the Europa League, where its career stops at the end of the group phase after finishing third in his hen [ 24 ] . At the same time in the league, Krasnodar manages to climb into the leading peloton and ranks second in the winter break, although counting ten points behind the Zenith Saint Petersburg and only one in advance on the fifth position [ 25 ] . The second part of the season, marked in particular by the interruption linked to the Pandemic of Covid-19 in Russia, is more difficult for the club which does not manage to ensure third place and its qualification in the Champions League than At the end of the last day [ 26 ] . The start of financial year 2020-2021 is therefore marked by a new campaign in this last competition. Starting this time directly at the Stade des Dams, Krasnodar is opposed this time at the PAK Salonica and, after two 2-1 victories, manages to obtain its first qualification in a phase of group league group phase [ 27 ] . However, he could not qualify for the final phase of the competition, having to settle for a third position synonymous with a recovery in the Europa League. In parallel, on the domestic level, the workforce of the club is undermined by several injuries and cases of COVID-19 pushing for the quarantine of certain players. This results in a very difficult first part of the season which sees it stagnating in the middle of the ranking [ 28 ] , [ 29 ] . The recovery is accompanied by new disappointments for the team which is eliminated from the start of the knockout stages of the Europa League by the Dinamo Zagreb then in the Russian Cup by the FK Sochi during the second of the month of February 2021 . Championship performances also remain poor with two scathing setbacks against Spartak Moscow (1-6) and the Akhmat Grozny (0-5), a team, however fighting to maintain themselves. This last defeat signs the final end of the mandate of Mourad Moussaïev who ultimately resigns the April 3 [ 30 ] . Appointed three days later, his successor is Viktor Goncharenko, who has just left CSKA Moscow a few weeks earlier [ thirty first ] . Krasnodar then finished the season in tenth position, his worst ranking since 2013. After a first part of the 2021-2022 season which sees the club ranking fifth at the winter break, two points from the podium and nine of the title, the management team decides to dismiss Goncharenko from its functions as coach during the first days of January 2022 [ 32 ] . He is replaced in the process by German Daniel Farke (in) [ 33 ] . The latter, however, leaves his post in early March in the context of Ukraine’s invasion by Russia, without having directed the slightest match [ 34 ] . Direction [ modifier | Modifier and code ] The club is chaired by its founder, Sergei Galitski. Nourbi Khakounov, deputy director general, was coach of the FK Krasnodar in the past. Professional workforce [ modifier | Modifier and code ] List of coaches [ modifier | Modifier and code ] The FK Krasnodar experienced seven different coaches in all. Vladimir Voltchek and Nourbi Khakounov, unknown at the high level, were the first coaches of the club during his third in the third division. The third coach of the club is Sergei Tachouïev, who arrived in 2010 after a convincing passage with Saliout Belgorod. However, there is only one season at the head of the club, leaving its duties after a second half of the 2010 failed season. It is replaced by the experienced Slavoljub Muslin, which notably passed on the bench of Lokomotiv Moscow in 2006. The club remains two years under its leadership for the first two seasons of the club in the first division. At the end of the 2012-2013 season, the owner Sergueï Galitski considers that the progress of his club begins to stagnate and decides to replace Muslin with the Belarusian Oleg Kononov, who is naturalized Russian a few months after his arrival. With this new coach, the club participates in its first Europa League after the 2013-2014 season and reached the final of the Russian Cup. After the resignation of Kononov in September 2016 [ 35 ] , it is replaced by Igor Chalimov. Under his orders, Krasnodar maintains his correct championship performances. After a relatively disappointing 2017-2018 season, especially on the European level with elimination from the Europa League dams and in terms of the game offered by the team, Chalimov is returned to April 2018 [ 36 ] and replaced by his assistant Mourad Moussaïev, first in acting for the end of the season [ 37 ] then permanently from the 2018-2019 season until the beginning of the month of April 2021 . Although 1-0 defeated at home, the Krasnodarians finally managed to win 3-2 during the return match thanks to a goal from Tonny Vilhena and a double of Magomed-Chapi Souleimanov allowing the FKK to win at the goals marked at The exterior and to join the dams for the group phase, where he is this time faced with the Greek team of Olympiakos. However, the first leg is disastrous for the Russians, who are beaten heavily in Greece on the 4-0 score, including three goals conceded during the last quarter of an hour of the game. They cannot go back this delay in the home return match, conceding a new 2-1 defeat and thus being eliminated from the competition, having to settle for a draft in the group phase of the Europa League at the end of which He finished third behind FC Basel and Getafe. Directly qualified for the qualification dams of the Champions League the following season after a new third place, Krasnodar manages this time to get rid of the PAOK Salonica thanks to two 2-1 victories at home and then outside to qualify to qualify The group phase for the first time in its history [ 27 ] .
