The FC Zurich women is a women’s football club located in Zurich, in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland. It is the female section of FC Zurich. It is also the most titled Swiss club with 23 champion titles.
The club was founded in 1970, in a district of Zurich, under the name SV Seebach. In 1980, this club won its first champion title, then the following year its first double championship-coupe.
Until 2005, the club won twelve champion titles and seven Swiss cups.
In 2005, the female section of the SV Seebach became independent, and was renamed FFC Zürich Seebach. Between 2005 and 2008, the club won its thirteenth title of champion and its eighth cup.
In 2008, the club joined FC Zurich and became FC Zürich Frauen. FC Zurich is the most titled Swiss women’s club, after ten years of scarcity, the club won the title again in 2008, it will defend it in 2009 and 2010. Between 2012 and 2016 the club won five titles in a row.
The club has thirteen participations in the Champions League (2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023). The Zurichoises reached the sixteenth finals in 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2012-2013, 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 and the knockout stages in 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2018 -2019.
