The Gare de Prilly-Malley is a railway stop in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is straddling the territories of the communes of Prilly and Lausanne, in the Malley district, near the Malley ice rink.
The stop of Prilly-Malley is located on the Lausanne – Geneva line (150). It is between the Renens station and the Lausanne station .
The construction of this stop is part of the development project of West-Lausannois, the master plan for the Western Lausanne (SDOL) [ first ] . The total cost of the work, initially estimated at 80 million francs [ 2 ] , [ 3 ] , ultimately amounted to 65 million francs, distributed equally between the canton of Vaud and the Confederation [ 4 ] . Work, started the [ 5 ] , lasted 3.5 years. The station is officially inaugurated the by the State Councilor François Marthaler for his last day as a member of the executive of the State of Vaud [ 6 ] . The first train, adorned with wreaths of flowers enters the stopover ten h 39 [ 6 ] . It is a Flirt type Rabe 523 branch. For the future, SBB plan a traffic of 6,000 travelers per day using this stopover [ 2 ] , [ 3 ] .

François Marthaler as well as the municipality of Prilly see at this station, the opportunity for industrial development in the plain of Malley [ 7 ] . The development potential is important. Indeed, the SBB and the town of Lausanne exchanged a plot of 18,000 m 2 on the immediate surroundings of the stop, in order to develop the district [ 7 ] . Ultimately, the SDOL provides, thanks to the establishment of the Prilly-Malley halt, a doubling of the workstations and the population of the Malley district, or 10,000 jobs and 8,400 inhabitants [ 8 ] .
The stop is made up of three long quays to serve four lanes. The Eurobalization system etcs is installed. Indications for travelers, such as timetables, are made using screens arranged in the train station passage.
Un parking Velopass [ 9 ] is directly attached to the Prilly-Malley stop, allowing the rapid transfer of the bicycle to the rail. This comes from François Marthaler’s desire to promote synergies between gentle mobility and sustainable development [ 6 ] .
Prilly-Malley is served by lines S1, S2, S4, S5 and S6 of the Vaud regional express network [ 3 ] . Bus lines 32, 18, 17 and 33 of public transport in the Lausanne region served remotely to stops Galicia or Malley Nord And Malley West , while the Malley station of the M1 line of the Lausanne metro is located approximately 200 meters, up to eponymous bus stops. The future T1 line of the Lausanne tramway will serve the stop at the station Galicia .
