Gedi Group Editoriale S.p.A. It is an Italian multimedia company active in the printing sector, digital, radio and television communication [4] based in Turin.

Through the controlled company “Gedi News Network” (GNN) [5] , publishes newspapers The Republic , The print , The XIX century and several local newspapers [5] , while with “periodicals and services” (GPS) publishes periodicals.

The editorial group through the company “Elemedia” owns three national radio channels, radio deejays, radio capital and Radio M2o and of the television broadcaster Deejay TV. It also operates in the segment of new media with the company “Gedi Digital” and has an advertising dealership which is A. Manzoni & C.

The company was born in 1955 with the name L’Espresso publishing company , with Adriano Olivetti main shareholder; Olivetti died in 1960. The publications of the weekly homonym in early October, under the direction of Arrigo Benedetti. In 1957 Carlo Caracciolo became the majority shareholder of the company and Arrigo Benedetti and the journalist Eugenio Scalfari also entered the share team. [6]

In 1991, following agreements between Mondadori and De Benedetti, the new editorial group L’Espresso S.p.A. was born, whose majority shareholder is the CIR – reunited industrial companies.
