Greek (or titled in the credits in Greek false GRΣΣK ) is an American television series Comico-Dramatic in 74 42-minute episodes, created by Patrick Sean Smith and broadcast between the and the sur ABC Family.
In France, the series has been broadcast since 2007 on June and since the On Virgin 17 become Direct Star.
The series features a group of students in the Greek system (Particular system of fraternities and sororities within American universities) in the fictitious university of Cyprus-Rhodes. Rusty Cartwright is in the first year in this university and makes efforts to change his image of Geek. His big sister Casey has a comfortable place in the sorority Zeta Beta Zeta (ZBZ), but Rusty goes beyond her advice by deciding on rusher A fraternity to be recruited. Only, her sister, who wishes to become the president of the sorority Zeta Beta Zeta (ζβζ) of the university, does not want him in his world, because it risks harming his own image when she is in the countryside .
Rusty does not despair and continues his research among the fraternities of the university. For that, he will have to prove himself and show that he can be a real reveler. - Plain White T’s who played Our Time Now And Hey There Delilah in the episode The Rusty Nail During a party organized by the Kappa Tau. They also played Friends Don’t Let Friends Dial Drunk And Making a Memory in the episode Friday Night Frights . In addition Tiffany Dupont, who plays Frannie in the series, appeared in the song of the song Natural Disaster which serves as a soundtrack for the promotion of the second season.
- The dollyrots, who played in the episode Multiple Choice their hit Because I’m Awesome , during a party organized by the Omega Chi.
- And the group The Perishers in the episode Freshman Daze , played the song from the end of the ball, Nothing Like You And I .
In episode 21 of season 1 ( Barely Legal ), Married singer Digby appears and interprets her song entitled Better Off Alone .

The series was broadcast in the United States on ABC Family (and the first 4 episodes rebroadcast on ABC). After a rather correct first season in terms of audiences, the series had a lot of trouble, falling below the million viewers. She had the chance to obtain a renewal for a third then fourth season [ 2 ] .
