L’ Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC is an Scottish football club based in Inverness, founded in 1994 by the merger of amateur clubs “Inverness Thistle FC” (founded in 1893) and “Caledonian FC” (founded in 1882). The club is now evolving in Scottish Championship After being relegated after the 2016-17 season.

  • 1994: Creation of the club by merger of Caledonian F.C. (in) and Inverness Thistle FC. The club plays in the Telford Street Park, the Caledonian FC stadium.
  • 1996: The club incorporates its new stadium, Caledonian Stadium.
  • 1997: The club wins its first national trophy, the Scottish Third Division.
  • 2004: The club is promoted to Scottish Premier League for the first time in its history thanks to its title of champion of Scottish First Division. Inverness also wins its first Cup challenge.
  • 2009: The club is relegated to First Division.
  • 2010: The club wins the First Division for the second time and is promoted to Scottish Premier League.
  • 2015: The club finished 3rd in Scottish Premièreship, wins the Scotland Cup and qualifies for the Europa League.
  • 2017: The club is relegated to the Premierehip.
  • 2018: The club wins the CUP challenge for the second time.
