Jean-Stephaz BRON is a Swiss director and screenwriter, born in Lausanne in 1969, known for her political documentaries.

Jean-Stéphane Bron was born in Lausanne in 1969 ^{[ first ]} .

He graduated from the Lausanne Cantonal Art School (ECAL) ^{[ 2 ]} .

His documentaries deal with questions of our time: democracy crisis, economic crisis, climbing populism. Using dramaturgical springs close to those of fiction, his films have a particular relationship to genre cinema. Jean-Stéphane Bron is a founding member of the production company Band apart from films, alongside Ursula Meier, Frédéric Mermoud and Lionel Baier ^{[ 8 ]} .

He is a jury in the Cinécivic competition organized by the Geneva Chancellery who rewarded journalist Jérémy Seydoux in 2014 ^{[ 9 ]} .

He is a member of the 50/50 collective which aims to promote the equality of women and men and diversity in cinema and audiovisual ^{[ ten ] , [ 11 ]} .
