Seeing his older brothers Kevin and Maxim practice cycling, he was quick to train by bike with them, then to practice this sport. He was illustrated in 2005 in the beginner category, by winning in particular the title of Belgian champion in this category [ 4 ] . The following year, he went to the junior category and joined the Balen BC [ 4 ] . In 2007, he was champion of Belgium Juniors, won the Tour of Flanders Junior, and notably took second place in the Pav\u00e9 de Roubaix. In 2007, he won the Junior Road Belgian Championship, the Junior Flanders Tour and ranked second in the Roubaix Pav\u00e9. In 2008, Jens Debusschere joined the new PWS Eijssen team, created to bring the best young people in Balen BC to professionalism [ 5 ] , [ 6 ] . In 2009, he won the provincial championship of Flanders-Western and two stages of the Tour of Flemish Brabant.
