Jim Yong Kim (Hanck In Seoul, is an American doctor of South Korean origin, president of the World Bank of At .

Born in South Korea, his family moved while he was 5 years old in Muscatine in the United States. He studied medicine and anthropology. He wrote a doctoral thesis on the role of the pharmaceutical industry in the development of Korea. His wife, Younsook Lim, is a pediatrician by profession, and they are parents of two boys.
