Born the In Basel, Kevin Schläpfer discovers ice hockey in the small club of Zunzgen-Sissach, in the canton of Basel-Campagne [ 2 ] . He made his debut in the National B league with the Basel Hockey Club in the 1986-1987 season [ 2 ] . After two seasons, he is hired by the Hockey Club Lugano in the National League A. His transfer then goes badly on the Basel side, which denounces irregularities and sends an appeal to the Swiss League [ 3 ] , before giving up it [ 4 ] . There are two seasons left at Resega, winning the title of Swiss champion in 1990 [ 5 ] , before joining the Eissportverein Zug, still in LNA [ 6 ] .

Schläpfer remains two seasons in central Switzerland, committing to the start of the 1992-1993 season with the Hockey Club Olten, which then plays in the National League B. He celebrates promotion in the National League A with the Soleur club during his first season , before being relegated to the end of the following season. After another season at Kleinholz , he is recruited by Lausanne Hockey Club, which then played in the National League A for the 1995-1996 season. Schläpfer is experiencing a new relegation, and joined, at the start of the 1996-1997 season, the Sleitschuh Club Langnau [ 7 ] . Two seasons remain in the Emmental, celebrating a promotion at the end of the 1997-1998 season. However, he continued his career in National League B, committing to the hockey club Coire [ 8 ] . Schläpfer celebrates two Titles of Swiss Swiss Champion B with the Grison club, but fails each time in the dam for the promotion, first in front of the Sleitschuh Club Langnau in 1999 [ 9 ] , then facing the Sleitschuh Club Rapperswil-Jona In 2000-2000 [ ten ] . The national league has widen, the hockey club core is promoted [ ten ] . Schläpfer nevertheless leaves the Grison club to engage with the hockey club Bienne, which plays in the National League B. He remains in the Seeland until the end of the 2003-2004 season, celebrating a title of Swiss national league champion B During its final season, even scoring the goal that offers the coronation to the Biennois [ 11 ] . Schläpfer and his club nevertheless fail during the dam against the Lausanne Hockey Club [ 11 ] . In , he joined the hockey club bienne as a sports director, preparer of the first team, as well as head of the junior movement [ twelfth ] . He is also appointed coach of the club novices [ twelfth ] . During the dams against relegation, while Bienne is led 2-0 by the Lausanne Hockey Club, Kevin Schläpfer replaces the Danes Heinz Ehlers at the head of the first team [ 13 ] , after Larry Huras and Kent Ruhnke refused the place [ 14 ] . and succeeds in saving the club’s place in the first division [ 15 ] . “[Kevin Schläpfer] agreed to assume a huge risk, to lose his place in the club.
