RC Restyling is presented at the Paris Motor Show 2018 World Motor Show [ first ] .

The touch -ups are light, the front receiving new headlights incorporating the light signature in L, and the grille is modified on its lower part to receive an air intake. At the rear, the lights are modified, as for the interior, a new analog watch is proposed.

Presented during the 1000km of Suzuka Super GT 2013, the RC-F GT500 Defends Lexus’ colors from 2014 during the various races of the Super GT championship. Born Lexus LF-CC , the car was renamed in 2014 during the presentation of the crews of the new season [ 9 ] .

The regulations entering into force in 2014 requires keeping the original bodywork and making only certain modifications in a very regulated framework; RC-F is based on concept car LF-CC concept Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2012.

Regulation 2014 imposing on vehicles in the GT500 category to use the DTM regulation for the chassis and aerodynamic part, this RC-F is based on the single monohull produced by Toray Carbon Magic Co. This monocoque is directly taken from the DTM which imposes engines in longitudinal position before.

It is motorized by a 4-cylinder in line 2 liters turbocharged which replaces the 3.4-liter atmospheric block. This reduction in displacement and the transition to a turbo engine makes it possible to align the Super GT in the current fashion of “Down Sizing” which consists in reducing the weight and the displacement while increasing the engine performance in order to maintain similar performance. If it has been announced that this engine will not be hybrid unlike the new Honda NSX-GT, the three manufacturers present in GT500 agree that 2014 cars will be more powerful than those they replace.

TRD, one of the Toyota subsidiaries in charge of motorsport takes care of the development of the car, as well as on the old SC430 GT500.
