The line was also connected to the main line of the Paris Railway Company in Orleans (PO) at the level of Etampes, by the Etampes line in Beaune-la-Rolande, also closed in 1969.

The lines “from pithiviers to the line of Corbeil in Montargis” and “from Pithiviers to the Paris line in Orleans, near this last city” are conceded as a possible capacity to the Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Paris in Orléans by an agreement signed the Between the Minister of Public Works and the Company. This agreement is approved by an imperial decree [ 3 ] .

The Paris Railway Company in Orléans obtained in 1865 the concession of a line connecting, via Pithiviers, its Paris line in Bordeaux to the network of the Compagnie des rail de Paris in Lyon and the Mediterranean in the Loiret .

The work is delayed by the rivalries between the two companies, and by the Franco-German war of 1870. The line served in particular Pithiviers. The line was finally inaugurated in 1872, and served by an omnibus for almost a century, until it closed in 1969, where this link will be replaced by a coach.
