Born in Alma in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, Mr. Lessard became a deputy for social credit in the federal district of Lac-Saint-Jean in 1962 [ first ] . Re -elected in 1963, he did not join the majority of Quebec creditist deputies who joined R\u00e9al Caouette and a creditor rally to associate with the Albertaine Social Credit base which was led by Robert N.
